Privacy Policy

How Kaijin handles account information, creative project data and AI-assisted workflows.

Last updated June 11, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, building a project, publishing content or contacting support. This can include your name, email address, project data, uploaded assets and messages. We also collect technical and usage information such as device type, browser, IP address, pages visited and feature interactions.

2. Creative project data

Your character details, Story Bible entries, chapters, artwork and other project material are stored so Kaijin can provide the creator studio and publishing services. Published material is visible according to the visibility settings you choose. Unpublished project material is not presented as public reader content.

3. AI-assisted processing

When you use an AI-assisted feature, the prompt and relevant project context may be sent to the service provider needed to produce a response. This may include selected character, chapter or worldbuilding details. Avoid placing passwords, financial information or other unnecessary sensitive personal data in prompts.

4. How information is used

We use information to authenticate users, operate the studio, store and publish projects, provide support, prevent abuse, understand product performance and improve Kaijin. We do not sell personal information.

5. Service providers

Kaijin relies on service providers for functions such as authentication, hosting, storage, databases, analytics and AI-assisted generation. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage for authentication, security, preferences and essential product behavior. Disabling required storage may prevent account or studio features from working correctly.

7. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the platform. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information and to object to certain processing. You can request assistance through the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Children’s privacy

Kaijin is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Contact

Privacy questions and data requests can be submitted through the Contact page or sent to privacy@kaijin.com.
